Relationships continue from the Spring 22 residency:

23h  ·

From Ronen Izhaki (on facebook)

“Thanks to Art Cube Artists’ Studios – סדנאות האמנים for having me for dinner at Lee He Shulov . Bless her.

Thanks to Jerusalem International Fellows that brought to Jerusalem a group of legendary artists, from the most chosen from all over the world Elise Bernhardt . The miracle worker.

Thanks to Claudia Lavista , who strongly leads contemporary dance in Latin America, that immediately upon meeting we had a childlike and adventurous connection. In a moment we’ll be at your place.

Thanks to our students at the Faculty of Dance. Every teacher and every choreographer would be happy for partnerships like this. Smart students.

Thanks to Sarah Meltzer Golan from האקדמיה למוסיקה ולמחול בירושלים that in a moment of sharpness turned air into gold. The luck of the academy.

Thanks to Tammy Izhaki who always said, go, sure you will. My love.

Thanks to all of these, I travel today, along with five other students, smart students from the הפקולטה למחול באקדמיה בירושלים – JAMD Dance Department multicultural division, for a project of creating from an encounter with another culture, in Mexico, at the #EPDM Dance Academy located on the west coast, מסטלאן

Equipped with anticipation, texts, motion materials, homework for the next semester (a lot), tahini , swimsuit and lots of wonder about the adventures I am getting into.

It’s worth dancing in Jerusalem, it goes all the way to Mexico הפקולטה למחול באקדמיה בירושלים – JAMD Dance Department“

From Rob Eshman. Thoughtfully explaining what food/cooking can (and can’t do). Same for art making.

Read about our 2013 Fellow Diane and her husband Henry’s incredible work at City of Asylum in Pittsburgh. George Packer speaks with Henry about last week’s attack on Salman Rushdie where Henry was also injured. Rushdie was the impetus for City of Asylum as a refuge for writers who have to leave their home countries.
