Participation in the Fellows Program is by Nomination only.
The participating Fellows were first identified by a Global Nominating Committee, consisting of experts in their respective fields (i.e. Museum Curators, Festival Presenters, Heads of University Departments) from five continents. They nominated extraordinary artists and practitioners of diverse disciplines whose qualifications and character would bring new creative energy and inspiration, and a sense of collaboration and possibility.
Nominees were invited to review a pre-selected group of Jerusalem-based cultural organizations from East and West Jerusalem (see Host Organizations), with whom they would like to engage. Detailed information about each of these potential host institutions is available on the Jerusalem International Fellows’ website. A point person from each organization communicated with the applicants to explore project ideas. Applications were reviewed by a panel of experts who selected a small group of finalists. The Host Organizations chose the Fellows based on the applicant’s project and their overall ‘fit’ with each institution.
Selected Fellows will arrive together and be in residence as a cohort.
